"Kindling" blurs the line between the past, present, and future of BC landscapes due to climate change and wildfires. Constructed to resemble logs thrown into a fire pit, this piece is a comment on destructive clear-cutting practices that create kindling for the flame.

"Kindling" was awarded an Honourable Mention (top 15%) in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
